America, THE nation.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Who does know what Woody ALLEN is up to, in this movie. Where IS the america he makes us aware he(at thaet time in any case) has still got an eye for? At least somebody does is the impression it gives off now(and, to be precise:we're here referring to the two children sat across from what used to be a shared WURLITZER situation in what you can only think of as DREAMLAND-america---no longer the case, that is, for, sure). Which IS! the situation all throughout this film, the sombre thought being how depressing it is when families have to mix fates. And, further, how depictive it is of the whole thing, this THINg we calling 'america', particularly as 'a' nation? NO: this film gets it correct not long after the scene pictured!above: it is the nation's capital where all these malfeasant SCUM, terrorize themselves as being something of any kind at all: they are all just kind of fluff frothed out of this stupid souffle, just every kind of trash aspiration finds it's end-point(and I IT IS**** all end-points actually thaet this kind of 'praxis' if you want to even dignify 'selecting' people off into 'public' 'service' whunce they 'get serious' about their 'political' 'ambitions'.

And, what's particularly funny::::the criminals in this are so low-key on what it MUST SURELY BE today. I mean they paved in fresh blacktop this nice coastal road there in SAN FRANCISCO without a care in the world I'm sure the rest of theat super-cool city is just dog-shit now, and Alec Baldwin I don't think he needs to act this thing at all unlike the State Department guy plays these fuckin' JANGO-fuckin'-PERFORMANCE-artists-of-asshole, to a total 'T', can just say "howard drask is such a pussy!"? AND "let's go fellas"and get in the car with thesefederal MARSHALLS? What's actually depicted in the intersticing of the montage? IS all essentially a windowed-exposure of what AMERICA actually IS UNDERNEATH and between the thinnest of veneers of socializated 'civil' society. Because, and this is where the DIRECTOR makes the cuts on life itself and WHY a scene in which BALWIN"quote cause he IS THIS FELLA actually and ALLEN KNOWS,it/.WHY, he,can, inter-cut,this statement, cavalierly, echoing! about! all else that's going on in the mind of the viewer that registers these moments as impressions, it's just such wonton assholerly NOT: a simple acted role there. BALDWIN is this mother-fucker is all you can say about it and ALLEN, for better or worse(I say better)makes a film OUT OF THESE FUCKIN' wankers other people is sat-around WORSHIPPING. SO:IT IS HARD TO appraise this film as a film when it is the thing it is depicting, which makes the end of it so difficult to summarize in fact. BECAUSE the nature of AMERICA is thaet it is no longer ANY OF THE PLACES SCENES COOL-vib-ed/, just none of all thaet is truly the thing to look for in all that he shows america about itself.....WHICH makes one wonder about viewing this now 12-odd years on(and it is SURPRISING this falls so long after the 'financial crash' as to not be ABOUT THE FINANCIAL CRASH, per se.); and, yet: what stories barely came out of that? I couldn't sayBUT THAT this IS! what the financial crash comes from WITHOUT OF(rather thaen being its product).

SO, to conclude, it's nice to see a proper-made film* about anything anymore and yet I STILL cannot fathom whether it makes any difference if you see it as a film. WHICH, the actors do a good job of making us aware of and the director carefully devises* situations they can act still(I MEAN Blanchette crying is a big thing to see), but the real truth is, as the film knows it:back in your own nightmare in this thing. SO: I hate the film. IT is somehow very repugnant for still daring to show me an america thaet isn't this fuckin' TECH JOB fuckin' BLACKTOP. I SAY TO WOODY: make me a fuckin' DOCUMENTARY WHY DON't YOU cause this one doesn't cut the fuckin' MUSTARD. SHOW ME A REAL CATE FUCKIN' BLANCHETTE WOULD YA CAUSE I HAPPEN TO FUCKIN' well know one myself had this very same situation happen.[i.e., I say you DOknow one you deliver me a fictional movie with ALEC FUCKIN' baldwin STRUTTING all through this like HE'S A FUCKIN' ACT. NO WAY NO HOW i'm takin' it back into my WHAT family man I DON't think so].

SO, that's where we're at in AMERICA, says ME.
